LONDON 4 August 2025 – Chubb today announced the appointment of Michael Babington as Head of Claims for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), effective 1 November 2025.
Babington will oversee the strategy and delivery of Chubb's market-leading claims service across EMEA. He will be based in London and report to Ana Robic, Regional President for Europe, Middle East and Africa. Babington succeeds Richard Shanks, who will continue in the role until November.

With nearly 20 years of experience, Babington has held many claims leadership positions, most recently as Head of Claims for Chubb in Australia & New Zealand. He joined Chubb in Australia in 2012 as a claims specialist within Financial Lines, and previously worked as a lawyer in London. He holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Dundee.
