LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ACE Group today launched two further enhancements to its ACE Travel Smart duty of care proposition for European business travel insurance buyers.
The first of the new services is an innovative online dashboard for HR and risk managers, which enables them to locate and send messages to travelling employees anywhere in the world via 3G or a Wi-Fi connection.
This market- leading feature has been developed in response to client feedback. It recognises that, in an increasingly globalised environment with employees travelling to far-flung destinations, timely and accurate information is vital to helping companies fulfil their duty of care.
It gives employers the ability, in many cases for the first time, to track the progress of their travelling staff in real-time from one convenient dashboard and to instantly communicate with them, for example to keep them informed about travel disruption or reach them in an emergency such as a natural disaster, civil disorder or terrorist attack.
ACE has also launched a new pre-travel risk training programme designed to help travelling employees better prepare for their trips so they stay safe and do not take any unnecessary risks while away on business.
The ACE online pre-training programme comprises short video modules and tests covering topics including:
Once the training modules have been completed employees receive a certificate confirming they have completed the course, and a record is kept for the employer so that they can monitor employees are adequately prepared for their trip.
ACE Travel Smart, first launched in March 2015, also continues to offer an easy-to-use smartphone app for travelling employees which provides access to medical and security assistance and other useful information for travellers, including live safety alerts.
Stephane Baj, Regional Director of A&H Corporate and Affinity for ACE in EMEA said:
“The new online dashboard works in conjunction with the smartphone app for employees and gives employers a vital snap shot of where their business travellers are at any one time. It also helps them contact travellers if an emergency situation should arise.
Also, many employees depart on business trips without considering the safety implications and crime risks in the location they are travelling to. This is why we have added the pre-travel risk training programme to Travel Smart. It is designed to provide employees with helpful advice and safety information without leaving their desk, and it records when the training is complete to help employers monitor and keep records of who has undertaken the training. These service enhancements to ACE Travel Smart underline our commitment to helping our clients operate to the highest standards whilst helping to make employee travel safer and easier to manage.”
