ACE Appoints Stuart Elliot as Terrorism Political Violence Underwriter for Its International Markets

LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ACE Group today announced the appointment of Stuart Elliot as Terrorism and Political Violence Underwriter as it continues to invest in building its specialist insurance capabilities around the world.

Reporting to Piers Gregory, Terrorism Underwriting Manager, ACE Overseas General, Stuart will be responsible for growing ACE’s terrorism book, working closely with brokers and clients to develop terrorism and political violence programmes. Stuart will be based in London with responsibility for all of ACE’s markets outside North America; he will have a particular focus on the UK and Ireland as well as on the Group’s emerging markets - including the MENA region, where ACE has a strong presence and sees strong demand for terrorism and political violence insurance cover.

Stuart has five years of insurance industry experience and joins from Willis where he was Divisional Director responsible for the development of the African and Far Eastern portfolio of terrorism and political violence business. The appointment is effective from January 27th, 2014.

Piers Gregory, Terrorism Underwriting Manager, ACE Overseas General, said: “As the international environment remains highly volatile and companies become more aware of their exposure, demand for terrorism and political violence cover continues to grow. Stuart’s appointment demonstrates ACE’s commitment to offering unmatched expertise and superior client service for this complex and crucial sector.”
