Chubb recognised for outstanding service to European captives
Company wins Insurance Company of the Year award and is commended in the Fronting Partner category

LONDON – 8 November 2016 -- Chubb today announced that it has been recognised for its market-leading service to European captive clients in the first European Captive Services Awards.

Chubb won the Insurance Company of the Year category. The award recognises an insurer’s ability to demonstrate a clear and holistic approach to its relationship with captive clients. Judges were impressed with Chubb’s strong global capabilities and experience working with large captive clients, as well as its range of services relevant to captive fronting and reinsurance services.  They also noted the smooth transition since the acquisition of Chubb by ACE at the start of 2016 and Chubb’s continued investment in, and improvement of, its global accounts division across the continent as well as its commitment to education and training of its staff.

Chubb was also commended in the Fronting Partner category, where insurers demonstrate efficient and client friendly management of large and complex programmes and are required to prove their multinational capabilities. Chubb impressed the judges with its strong global capabilities and vast experience in working with captive insurance clients. The company demonstrated the diverse and complex programmes it fronts for captives, as well as its strong commitment to the industry and to the captive segment.

The judging panel was made up of twelve well respected industry professionals from across Europe, who were carefully selected for their wealth of experience and expertise, as well as their absence of conflicts of interest.

Rémy Massol, Multinational Director for Chubb in Continental Europe, said:

“Being recognised as Insurance Company of the year in the first ever European Captive Services awards is a tremendous honour, especially in 2016, when our new brand was launched across the continent. As the new Chubb, we continue to raise our game still higher and deliver superior care and service. Awards like this encourage us to work even harder to build our captive offering and raise the bar for client service delivery.”

Chubb’s worldwide offering for captives encompasses full and partial risk transfer, fully-fronted multinational programmes, captive management and captive management and segregated account facilities.

In addition to captive fronting, Chubb provides licensed captive management services to standalone single parent-owned captives for major companies and protected cell solutions for organisations seeking the benefits of a captive programme without the administrative cost and capital required to form and manage a standalone captive, through three wholly owned companies: Bermuda-based Chubb Alternative Risk Limited, Paget Reinsurance and Delaware-based Pembroke Reinsurance.
